After hearing a news story about a young girl who was brutally murdered by her house by a registered sex offender it made me immediately log in to see..there is a website called watch dog, it color coats by their offence, gives pictures and adresses PLEASE look at it! www. familywatchdog.us
Makes me sick that the police consider it our responsibility to make sure that we are aware. And I was amazed how many our even in our "safe" area.

Our weekend at the beach was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for better weather. It was Norah's first time to the beach and she had a blast. The house was nice. A beautiful view the ocean and very quick beach access.

Mosie loved it too, he got to spend quite a bit of time inside hanging out with the fam.

Thank you Morrisons for the Christmas present you sent. I absolutely love it. My new favorite thing to do at work is to do my nails. For new years I had little green flowers with a little diamond in each one. And then yesterday I painted them my favorite color with little white decor on them. Along with the nail polish remover, nail file, carrying case I am good to go! I love the matching purse too. Thank you!

So this is mine and Jory's 42" flatscreen. I never really cared much about nice TV's until I owned one and I fell in love. Everything is SO much better on the big screen, so clear so precise. Me and Jory bought with our first joint account from Best Buy. So with our recent breakup after not hearing from him for awhile I went and got the tv from his old apartment worried that with my name on a credit card I may not ever see him again and didn't want anything bad to happen to my credit over it. Since then we have gotten back together and since that day Jory has joked about wanting it back... well the joking became serious and it made me mad that he was asking on almost a daily basis and the answer never changed. Well thank God for roomates. Jory's room mate Bryan bought a 52" TV. So finally my Sony Bravia is mine all mine. I did have to give back the PS3, but it never got used here anyway so if that makes him happy, I am happy!

So all day yesterday (the 1st) it RAINED RAINED RAINED. It was so bad that there has been flooding at the coast and the park by our house no longer shows a visible path to walk on. It was also so bad that poor mosie didn't get his evening walk. I just couldn't get the audacity to go out in the wetness. Well this morning as I am getting ready for bed I go to the backdoor to make sure it is locked and walked away. I stopped in the kitchen turned back and turned on the outside light to see this:
Well most likely it will be gone by the morning and usually I would be excited at such a sight but this time I said out loud "on no, not again!" Odd thing is 1.) it rained ALL day why would it be sticking 2.) it's 39 degrees outside!!! WEIRD but still a much better sight then the pouring rain. Or maybe God just wants me to bring Mosie on a walk.

Well I have to admit,the year 2008 sucked!!! Considering my new years resolution going into 2008 was to get out of debt and my first day back to work at Red Lobster in the new year I find out I no longer have a job. Me and Jory had our ups and downs,I had surgery done on my wrist- which ended up being very expensive, the economy went to shit, I got in my first car accident, had to work on my birthday, couldn't go to Vegas for Becky' birthday the first time since she has moved, could not be with my family on Christmas... and a combination of a few other things made for a horrible year. But HERE's to better days hopefully being held for us ALL in the year 2009! So as many of you know my boyfriend Jory is in a band. He plays the saxophone for a really cool band named Big Mama Gayle and her Sugar Daddies http://www.bigmamagayle.com (Jory isn't in the picture on the website, it's a little outdated.) But they are defined as a Cabaret Dance and show band. They are so much fun to watch! This was the third show that I have been to and it was held at the McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove. I am so proud of Jory he has not only improved so much since he first started but he is also continuing something that he loves from high school and college.

Almost 9 Inches of snow..

So this is after I got home... and what an experience that was. Due to all the snow on the side streets, I had the hardest time trying to make the voyage home to take care of Mosie. My right chain kept coming off. Gabe must have put that thing on about 10 times... each time having to dig around the tire. Once I was on Woodstock I didn't experience any problems... But thanks again Gabe for getting me outta there!

THIS MORNING

To my dismay the site was not closed this morning. While looking out the window at the snow I realize there is no way I am going out without purchasing chains especially since I was looking foward to Heidi's christmas party. On my way over to Les Shwab I turned right on shaw and my car didn't turn with me instead it went straight into a divider in the road. Luckily that divider was there or else I would have ran right into a truck that was sitting on the other side of the divider. So I get to my friend Zahra's house and we call Les Shwab to find out there was a 3 hour wait to purchase and have chains put on your car.

So we ended up going to Napaa, we were so proud we put on the chains all by ourselves... well not exactly we had someone show us and then supervise us to make sure it was done right.

We ended up making it to work with no problems... slowly but surely. We had a great turnout for the potluck. We ate, fooled around and then heard the word that the site would be closing at 2:30! WA HOOO!!!! Above is a picture of Greg he is the head honcho at our site, he was out there cleaning off everyones cars- nice guy!

THIS EVENING

I ended up going to the gym after I dropped off Zahra, it was really beautiful. While working up a sweat inside it was snowing outside. I went tanning and fell asleep to really peaceful music. Was in a strange daze from being so warm as if I am relaxing on a beach to putting on my clothes and having to clear off my heavily burried car.

Made it home safely, here are a few pics for you mom and dad since you are missing the most snow we have ever gotten in Oregon.

Heidi's christmas party was nice, although she did mislead me to the point where I thought there wasn't going to be anywhere there due to the snow so I came over in my PJ's.... brought Norah and put on her little santa suit. Was very cute. Me and Bryan tried building a snow man but it wouldn't work... instead we wrote merry christmas in the snow and made snow angels. Didn't get any pics but I'm sure Heidi did.

So after work today (which by the way went slowly and horribly-meetings, training and horrible people- yikes) I needed to stop by the dollar store and the grocery store to pick up a few things for the holiday party at work- which I hope is still on, but who knows with how the weather has been. Well I found Norah the cutest little santa outfit. Just what I was expecting for her first christmas. Although I let her wear it for a little too long. Her and Tazzy had a blast with her bells.. so much fun that one bell came off and her little buckle from her santa suit as well- but hey what can I expect for just a few dollars?

I realize that all I ever blog about it about Norah or my cats but hey they're a lot more exciting and cute than me so it is gonna have to do. At least you know that when my day comes to be a mother I will be good at taking pics and posting them.

Other things going on in my life... looking forward to Heidi's party on Saturday. I have a green dress that I ordered offline but haven't worn. Was planning on that and then getting Jory a red shirt to be festive together but it end up he works until 9pm, so won't be attending.

Oh another great thing.. I found out that my TV because of the digital HDTV something... I get all these free movie channels over 40 digital channels. SO GREAT!

Other than that I hope for a safe departure for my parents and then very cold temperatures so that I can have a SNOW DAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My day began just as any other...woke up received a kiss on the nose from Norah. Got up looked out the window with disappointment. No additional snow overnight. Called the HSBC phone number to see if I had to work- just as I expected and as it has been all week the AM shift is cxled but any shift after 12:00 expected to report to work... grr called Jory with frustration that everyone else is getting paid to enjoy the snow from home but me and my team have to come in AGAIN! Made my breakfast, got in the shower and got ready for work. Was planning on leaving at 12:00 to give myself a few more minutes till I had to leave so I sat down to enjoy the rest of my coffee. By this time it had began to snow heavily so I decide to call again just to make sure... TODAY IS DECEMBER 17TH THE TIGARD SITE WILL BE CLOSED!!!! WAHOO!!! SNOW DAY FOR ME TOO...

So i send a bulk text to my team members and start singing Oh happy day! I called my friend Zahra and her and her boyfriend picked me up to spend the day with them. it was really nice. We did some shopping she made me a delicious sandwich. Hung the lights outside their house and spent some time in the snow. Very nice way to spend a snow day! The funniest part about today was my mom making Norah some clothes to stay warm. First she brought me a festive towel lol.. tried that on for size, looked more like a cape- so we were thinking thinking thinking, then she comes back with a large fun decorative sock. She cut it and it worked perfect she had something to cover her baldness on her back plus a little hat it was HILARIOUS to see Norah's initial reaction to the sock and her head and it looked so adorable on her. Can't really see just how cute it is in the picture but it was great!

I am proud to annouce my friend Alan has one the most asteemed award from HSBC called the 4 Star award. Meening not only is he one of the top performers on the site but his quality is highly recognized. I have been friends with Alan since my first day joining my team in April. I was a little worried back then because all the friends that I had made during my 4 week on the job training were all on different teams in another building. But Alan has been a great friend to me, always there to listen to my stories and put in enlightening views on religion and even politics. We exchange verses of the day and I just really appreciate such a great friend and am so proud of him for winning this award (and the $2,000)

Obviously as you all know, we got a snow storm that covered us in 3.5 inches of snow and amazingly enough it stuck and going into the 3rd day and we are supposed to be getting some more in the next few days. It was Norahs first experience with snow and she loved it, although with her little bald spot on her back she gets cold really quickly, but it was sure cute to see her running around with her nose in the snow. Then she looks up at me with it all over her face! So cute!

So I know I haven't written much lately so here is the update on me... still workin at HSBC, just usin up the rest of my vacation for the year which is nice to have more random days off, I am hittin the gym more, going to church every sunday... had a nice thanksgiving with the fam. Norah is starting to learn how to sit and lay down. Tazzy had a absess but is doing better. Me an Jory are doing great!

So Jory ended up getting a red convertable mustang from Hertz for his rental car which I'll admit I LOVED! His first night in we drove down to Primm to check out the store. I had a hat on, it was the perfect amount of air and was a beautiful drive. The next down to Primm for me was not as enjoyable me and Beck were in the back seat and it was SO windy my hair was in such horrible nots that I ended up tearing half of it out with my brush. Dan got a really funny picture of us I am gonna see if I can get it from him. This picture was taken before we left hence the hair and the smiles

So I wasn't here for the party was really glad my camera was! Heidi turned 30.
I had been wanting a wii fit since I first heard about them and Jory bought me one and thought Heidi would enjoy it too. So we all pitched in on one for her it's really fun it has yoga, strength training and all kinds of games! Hehe this pic was the first time trying it at my house doing the step game which I will admit the first couple times doing it is NOT easy!

Well with Becky being in pain it was really nice to relax and just hang out. My hand was about 5 times the regular size and throbbing. My doctor told me to ice so Beck and Dan ran to the store for an ice pack here is the first pic taken in vegas (oh by the way I forgot my camera in my car at my parents house)

So as many of you know, I have had a Ganglion Cyst in my right wrist for the last few years, well after much pain I finally took the time to find a hand surgeon and made the appointment for the removal of my Cyst. So other than the fact that I had already booked my flight reservations for Vegas on the 13th, the doctor could get me in on the 12th (day before my flight) and a perfect time due to the 10 day elimination period of 10 days that is unpaid, I so happen to have already taken off 10 days for Vegas. So I go in for my surgery so far so good other than my I V leaking and having to sit in the hospital for so long well Dr.Layman finally comes over and writes on my wrist where he'll be doing the incision, he mentions that he will need to see me again on Tuesday to remove the drains. So I explain to him that I am leaving for Vegas. He looks at me with disbelief that I didn't and should have known that I would need to be back and that the only two options are to not go through with the surgery or I will have to not have the drains put in and then about 1 in 20 cysts come back. So I went to Vegas with that 5% chance.

Moving as exciting as it is with my love for procrastination- is very hard for me. Everytime I move you would think that I would eventually sort things out get rid of things, no, not me. Instead I am just reminded at all the stuff that I have that I had hidden so well but now is thrown back at me needing a new place in a new home- I love my apartment now- but with neither one of us owning any large furniture we had to wing it for awhile.. here is the process:
When I get my apartment all cleaned up I will be sure to post the newest pics of our apartment since this pic we winged it with one recliner chair I purchased from JC Pennys which I had dibs on. My mom found a blow up couch that we were really excited about and loved until we had friends over who drank and somehow got a whole in it which we still have not patched.

So after not blogging in so long... where do you start? Well what better place to pick up at than our trip last April to St. Louis. There was no better reason for us all to meet in St. Louis than Savannah Joy's birthday! It was very cool on our last day there we went to the arch and wow is it huge. St. Louis a a really cool city. Very quaint, from the horse and carriages to the floating casinos!
Well by now it's almost time to celebrate Sawyers birthday but in the mean time Savannah is 5 and as cute as ever! She amazes me how smart she is too. I had the joy of playing sleepover in her room over the length of my stay. It was really nice to spend the quality time with her, I miss that a lot can't wait till she's a little older and can email :) Oh and she had a super cute tea party too.

So of the many events that we did during our trip to St. Louis we also went to their zoo, which was really cool. Free and fun!

My Favorite part of the zoo were the penguins and the Camels. What amazed me about both was how incredibly close you can be to them really shows you their magnificence you never can really tell that in the Oregon zoo, they're behind glass or so far away that you can hardly see them. In the penguin exhibit we actually got splashed by the water and if we wanted to we actually could have reached out and touched a penguin!!!!

I ended up having to work from 7-3:30 but after we had our birthday party at home and then me and Jory went to Cirque Du Soleil- Cortea, which of course was amazing!

My first car accident..

So it happened a few days prior to my birthday. Had just filled up my car with gas at the chevron on the corner of hall and cedar hills blvd, it was about 4:30pm and was taking a left to go the the 24hr less than a mile away. I waited and I waited and I waited- looks at all possible routes finally had a clearing in the stopped cars in front of me and slowly pulled out and ::WHAM:: got hit by a new 2008 Ford Explorer. It was my fault and caused about $1000 worth of damage to my car. Made my pretty sad since I have a $500 deductable. So unfortunatly it may be awhile before I am able to get it fixed. Although the $500 check they wrote me came at a nice time, right before my birthday and right before my first paycheck from my new job.

So yesterday Heather and I were talking about how when she feels nervous or stressed of some sort her chest turns red... Jory on the other hand gets this huge vain that pops out of his left side of his forhead- we call it "THE VAIN" I can tell without a doubt whenever he is stressed and try my best to rub the vain out

I am just catching up on my blogging and this was one of the pics that I had that was after Jan 10th hehe. There's a birthday party that is going on upstairs and I figured multiple months between blogs is a bit much so I am playing catch-up!

So I was in a productive mood when I got home from work today. I wanted to make it up to Mosie for not taking him on a walk this morning so I took him to his favorite place ever, the dog park. Well unfortunately Mosie was looking too mangie to bring out, so.. I took him outside and gave him an adorable hair cut:

I just trimmed a little off the back and around his neck. So we stayed there until it was dark and he, as always had a blast!!! So once I got home I realized how starving I was. I didn't have time to eat at work and hadn't had anything to eat since 9:30 this morning. So I was on a mission to make me a bomb dinner. As I am putting together a stir fry even voicing out loud what an awesome cook I am, I start experimenting with some spices. Well I love Cayenne Pepper, sprinkled some over my hang and the perfect amount falls out, just a little at a time, so I decide it's save to put over the stir fry directly to sprinkle on the spice... well exactly what I didn't want to happen, did! A whole huge clump fell into my creation.

I did everything I possibly could to simmer down the spice... MOM and DAD, I'm starving please come home soon! I tried my best to pick at it and eat the most I could but I still had to:
Yeah, that is 3 different drinks, all which I needed to be able to eat my stir fry :(

This is my sponsor child that I got at woman of faith her name is Fostina she lives with her parents 1 brother and 2 sisters. Fostina and her family live in a community severely affected by AIDS. She's just a little older than Sawyer. I picked her because of the sadness I saw in her so hopefully the next picture I receive of her she'll have a smile on her face! I know she's really young so it may be awhile before I can send her letters, but I am really excited to talk to her, and show her the Lords love through my monthly contribution. They said she likes to play with toys. She helps at home by learning to do small tasks and that she is in satisfactory health. One of the Woman of faith told this really sad story about when they went to Africa they met a woman names Rebecca who told them a story on how Rebecca could no longer afford to feed her family and was thinking about selling one of the healthiest little boys. Shortly after she received word that that little boy was chosen by a family with 2 little boys to sponsor and that the money she received each month was enough to support her whole family and enough to even buy seeds to produce in income of there own. I am really excited about Fostina and who knows maybe someday God will have a plan to send me a little closer to her in missions.

Wow I should really name this Blog "The Secret Life of Taz Girard" But I know anyone who reads my blog loves him and probably wants to know more about his day than mine.. Mine was uneventful by the way watched a movie and a half with Jory ate Grilled Cheese. Went to work, served a lot of people endless shrimp, walked with $108 but anyways...Taz did the cutest thing today when I get home from work around 11:30. So I get undressed and turn on the shower I had opened the door and turned on the water and even before I was in the shower Taz was! And I don't mean just in the shower not getting wet he was full on under the running water. So I get in and close the door and he actually stayed in there so I picked him up and put him under the water some more I even shampooed him with my light Dove shampoo. He is the cutest. He got out a little earlier than I did but I was so heart sprung over my little kitten who likes the shower. Hehe Do you guys remember how I used to shower with Cheerio, I actually used to shower with Moses too! Well I have him all dry now and he is the softest and cleanest kitten and I don't think has stopped puring since I got home!

So on 12th I had Jory come over after he was done coaching the Molalla High school Boys and I made him a nice dinner of Parmesan Crusted salmon and just had a nice and romantic evening together and he spent some time playing with Taz which was super cute, they were both getting really in to it... a little too into it LOL.... Jory made the mistake of challenging Taz once they were done playing by putting his face right at Taz.. Taz took a minute and then charged with both paws forward and scratched Jory on his face. Making Jory sad and scratched up.

Well payback is a B*itch, don't worry Taz was not harmed in the making of this Blog and I absolutely crack up everytime I see this picture!

Day 2 in "Misson Friends for Tazzy"

It has been really hard having 2 cats who just won't get along. Taz just really wants to play with Madeline and she wants nothing to do with him. Everytime they're around eachother that song... "why can't we be friends" is what I sing to them, because some day they are going to have to get along or they are both going to be miserable.

I thought it was really cute how far he started and slowly inched himself close enough for me to capture a shot of Madeline physically glaring at him with a confused look on his face on why she could possible hate him to much.

And then after bringing Moses for his walk, I came back into my room to find the two sitting:

Today was quite a day... I slept in till later than expected brought my parents to the max station, came home and spent some time looking through pictures that were taken from Becky's visit and spent some time putting them up on myspace, I made a huge dent in the mess that I like to call my room. Did two huge loads of laundry went to the store and bought King crab. Prepared a bomb meal for just me of king crab and red potatoes. After eating until I felt like I couldn't move I brought Moses on a walk, and since the parents are outta town and mosie just got a bath I figured it would be fun to introduce him to Taz ♥...

BAD IDEA!!!

This is what that resulted in! :( Ouch! (and that is after I cleaned up all the blood put hydrogen peroxide and ointment on it!

Well mom may hate me because I am putting this picture on here but she is now bed ridden for a week and is not happy about it! So to make it up to her for what she's been through yesterday I brought her Vanilla bean Cheesecake, Clam Chowder and biscuits. And then this morning I made her french toast and Eggs... It kinda sucks because I have been spoiled lately with her doing my laundry for me and as she always has; the dishes and all the other daily chores. With mom being out and dad being dad, I think that only leaves me...BUT my friend Mandy is going with her boyfriends family to Lake Shasta so she asked me to housesit while she's gone for Friday and Saturday so I won't be here either... luckily I'll be taking my little pain of a cat over to Mandy's house to torment her cat Lily whose not much older than Taz.

So today was supposed to be my day off but I picked up a noon shift and it ended well worth it, I also got to watch Jory goalkeep for the first time, It was cute he stayed for a second game too and I was sitting in the bleachers and all the people around me were commenting on how good he was and wondering who he was...

I have also decided that I want to live in Sherwood! I just think the area is so beautiful and for those of you who have driven down bull mountain know but there is the most beautiful house on the way there... wish I could have taken a picture of it but instead here is a picture of the grassy coolness that I saw,
